We at the DR. B. R. Ambedkar Institute of Nursing [DRBRAIN], located inside the Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Medical College and Hospital Campus, Bangalore, have dedicated ourselves to caring for and educating young minds towards the nursing professional course. Dr.Sheela A.J. Williams, MSc. Nursing, Ph.D., took over the charge of principal on March 8, 2021, after completing 33 glorious years of successful nursing services in various capacities.
A kind and compassionate person, she is also a disciplinarian who sets high standards for herself and the institution. She is an active member of the Trained Nurses' Association of India, the Christian Medical Association of India, the Public Health Association of India, and the National Research Society of India, and has presented several research papers at seminars and conferences.
Nursing is both an art and a science. A professional nurse learns to deliver patient care tactfully with compassion, caring, and respect for each patient's dignity. Nursing as a science is based on a body of knowledge that is always changing with new discoveries and innovations.
The opportunities for a nurse are limitless. A professional nurse may choose any number of careers, including clinical practice, education, research, management, administration, and even entrepreneurship.
The horizon has expanded both at home and abroad, including Western, European, and Middle Eastern countries.
Our aim at DRBRAIN is to nurture each individual in a pleasant manner with an expert team of medical and nursing professionals.
We also provide an arena for our students total development by including extracurricular activities.
