Mathrushri Bheemabai Ambedkar Institute of Nursing was established in 1988 by Ananda Social and Educational Trust. Now the name of the institution has been changed to Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Institute of Nursing. This separate building of the nursing school and college has hostel facilities and is being attached to Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Medical College and Hospital for clinical and teaching purposes. The hospital, which has 750 beds and specialty areas, provides training and learning facilities to nursing students.
We recognize that nursing is based on the values of caring for human health and aims to help individuals attain independence in self-care. The principle of the college is the noble idea of service orientation with a spirit of renunciation, sacrificing one's own self-interest for a great cause to alleviate suffering.
The Ananda Social and Educational Trust (AS & ET) was established in 1980 by a committed group of people to contribute to the betterment of underprivileged people by providing quality education.
